a good cause.

i wanted to take a minute to write about something that is not easy to write about.
sick children.
you would think that i would be conditioned for issues like this being a preemie mom and seeing my child so helpless, not knowing the outcome.
but that's just not the case for me.
when i see kids with cancer, it hurts my heart so bad. i have to choke back tears and put on a brave face.

but there are some people who are completely opposite, like my cousin Casey. she is a special person who was called to work with special children. she has such an upbeat, optimistic view for these kids and it gives them hope.  her big smile and big hugs are just what these kids need.

she really enjoys working with them and also trying to raise money for their wishes.

here is a link to a story of a selfless boy named Franky who she is currently trying to raise money for.

just reading his story makes you really rethink how you think about life.

below is a picture of my cousin Casey (left) and Franky (middle)
