homemade soap and cleaner

i decided i wanted to give this a shot, so i got some recipes from a friend and went to the store for supplies. i am sharing the two that worked the best for me.

all-purpose cleaner

i use this for my counters/tables/bathroom vanities

you need:

• 1/2 teaspoon of liquid castile soap
• 1 teaspoon borax
• 1 teaspoon washing soda
• 1/2 cup white vinegar
• 2 cups hot water
• 25-30 drops of essential oil (i used tea tree)

just mix all the above ingredients and store in a spray bottle to use when needed.

powder laundry detergent

you need:

• 1&1/2 cups borax
• 1&1/2 cups arm and hammer washing soda
• 1 bar of zote laundry soap, grated

grate the soap into a container, then add the borax and washing soda. try not to breathe it in, while doing this. mix well and store in airtight container. use 2 tablespoons per load.
